Introduction To Blacklist & Whitelist


Explanation


Blacklist Device means by default all the devices who try and join the SSID (PSK or Captive Portal) shall be allowed to do so except for the devices which are specifically added to Blacklist. 


Whitelist Device means that only the devices which are added to Whitelist shall be allowed to join the SSID. All other devices by default are not allowed to join the Wi-Fi SSID. 


The user can activate either the Whitelist or Blacklist. 

If one of the features is activated, the other shall be deactivated automatically. 


How to enable Whitelist or Blacklist?


Method 1.

Step 1. Login to your cloud controller https://cloud.ray.life with your username & password. 

Step 2. Go to Devices

Step 3. On the specific device, Go to the actions menu 


Step 4. Click on "Add to Black List" or "Add to White List"


Method 2. 

Step 1. Login to your cloud controller https://cloud.ray.lifewith your username & password. 

Step 2. Go to Profiles -> Available Profiles -> Wlan

Step 3. Select an existing Wlan Profile and click View

Step 4. Go to Whitelist/Blacklist. Click Enable Client Mac Whitelist/Blacklist



Step 5. Add MAC Address of the client devices. 

Step 6. Click Submit. 

Step 7. Go to Actions & Select Attach.



Step 8. Go To Profiles -> Available Profile -> WLAN.

Press Publish in the current cluster if you only have a single cluster.
