Enterprise policy enabled Wi-Fi
Introduction
Ray Pro-bundle subscription is loaded with rich Enterprise policies which is the first time ever and hardly found in any Wireless solutions.
First of all, what is a Pro-bundle subscription? How to activate it and what policies it contains?
Pro-bundle subscription / Enterprise subscription is the key feature that enables the extremely powerful policy features which can provide you granule level of user access control and 360 views of L7 ( Application layer) traffic.
This adds in a core value into your infrastructure in the terms of security, integrity, and authenticity of the bi-directional traffic of your network.
Before we go ahead exploring these wonderful policy features, we need to check first how to enable this gem into your service.
Subscription process:
The subscription method is very easy and handy, which barely takes a minute to subscribe to this service.
1) Firstly, you need to login to your Ray Cloud account, then click on the "App Store" button given right side top
corner icon, as given in the below image.
2) As soon as you click on "App Store" it will take you to a Unique app store which is having value-adding features
available on the list.
Go to Your A/c name icon right side top corner pointed in the below image and click on the "Activate License" option. will take you to the License subscription activation page. just like the below image.
3) Click on "Activate license", will take you to the License subscription activation page. just like the below image.
Insert your pro-bundle license key here and click the "Submit" button. That will activate your Enterprise policy feature.
List of Enterprise policies:
As soon as the Enterprise policy subscription successfully activated it will enable Policies related features on the main dashboard under the profile tab, check the below image for reference.
As you click on the [ + Create ] button, the policy window will pop up just like the below image.
In the " Definition" field there is a drill-down menu containing a list of policies we have.
Quota Policy, Speed policy, Time Policy, and Content Policy.
Quota Policy :
Quota policy empowers admins to control Internet data quota Volume and Time-based.
For instance, the below image is for the Volume based Quota policy is designed for the Employees of
some company to get 2 GB volume-based internet data daily which is having validity of 1 day, and every midnight
it renews with new 2 GB volume data. There are other combinations that can be applied just like Quota
unit can be in Gb or Mb, Quota renewal can be One time or recurring, etc.

You can decide how much time you want to enable internet service for the users.
Multiple options available for the Time Quota unit ( Days / Hours / Minutes ), Quota Renewal can be One time or recurring. Renewal unit can be Days / Hours / Minutes according to the requirement.
There can be a lot of combinations you can make according to your enterprise or organization policies, you just need
to select appropriate parameters given in the simple Quota policy template.
Speed Policy
Speed policy has two options which are Priority and Speed, and it can be designed as per your requirement.
A priority-based speed policy example is given in the below image, which explains you can create a
Priority-based policy for your organizational level based employees or high priority executives, you can assign
them accordingly.
It is having 3 level of priority which is common and well known ( High / Medium / Low)
For example, You can apply a High Priority policy to your company's/organization's executive profile.
and Medium priority to middle-level management employees.
Speed based policy is explained in the following image, which reveals you can design your policy for the users you want to restrict them under certain speed limitations for both direction traffic ( Upload / Download).
In the example snapshot below, indicated Upload and Download parameters for minimum and maximum limitation.
For instance, the Upload stream can be a minimum of 4500 kbps = 4.5 Mbps up to 6000 kbps = 6 Mbps ( Maximum) and
Download stream can be a minimum of 8000 kbps = 8 Mbps up to 9000 kbps = 9 Mbps ( Maximum).
That is how you can design your policies accordingly for the users or group of users.
Time Policy
Time Policy is enabling a powerful feature for you to Allow or disallow Internet services for the Users or group of users.
For instance, in the following snapshot, "Allow" enabled Time policy makes Internet service available for the users.
It explains, Internet service will be available on weekdays Monday to Friday from 9 A.M to 7 P.M.
The following pic. is an example of "Deny" Time policy, which means, if you don't want your users to access Internet services for a particular timeline then you can deny their Internet requests for that particular time duration.
In this case, users will not be able to access the Internet throughout the weekend days Saturday and Sunday ( whole day).
Content Policy
Web content based policy amazingly moderate your user internet traffic and that can surely avoid unsafe or illegal sites
or services.
The following image shows the rich parameters of this policy, like Web Filtering, Blocking categories,
DNS filtering ( Blacklisting / Whitelisting)
Application filtering is the super gem from the L7 control list.

A huge database of the Applications can be controlled with the Ray Application Filtering feature.
Group
The group is where the policies are going to be attached or applied.
Have a look at the following snapshots. In the second image, you can see you can attach single or multiple policies with the group, as well as you can add single or multiple users based on Mac-addresses.
