Radius configuration testing with Jump cloud radius service
This document is purely based on the Jump cloud settings and configurations, we cannot guarantee if it doesn't work.
Follow the provided steps if it still doesn't work then you can contact Jump cloud customer support.
There are the JumpCloud servers IP you can use to create an enterprise authentication profile under Ray
Profiles --> Available profile --> Radius
1) Create Jump cloud account:
Go to https://console.jumpcloud.com/signup link and insert your E-mail ID you want to signup with.
2) Basic personal information
Click Next and fillup the required basic details as given in the next page form like the below image.
3) Company details
Click next and fillup company details as asked on the next page like the below snapshot.
4) Last step of creating an account
The Final stage to create an account by setting up the password and click on create an account.
5) JumpCloud Admin Login
Now login in Admin console using credentials you have filled up during registration.
6) Create Jumpcloud user
After login into the JumpCloud admin account, create a user.
Click on the green "+" sign at the top left and select "Manual user entry".
check the below snapshot for the reference.
7) Fill up basic information of the User
As soon as you select Manual user entry it will popup user creation form where you need to fill up the details about the
user and after filling up the details jump to the next tab of the same form "User groups"
8) Select the group for the user
On the "User groups" tab tick mark the default group for now. as this will be just for testing so we are selecting by default
group here.
9) Create a Radius profile
Now go to the "Radius" menu and create a new radius profile by filling up the details marked in the below snapshot.
The IP address will be your live / Public IP and the Shared secret key will be auto-generated.
Note down Shared key details which will be helpful to create radius profile on the Ray enterprise auth settings.
Now jump to the "User group" tab of the template.
10) Attach Radius profile to the group
Go to the User groups tab of the Radius creation page and select the default given group and save the configurations.
And you are done creating Radius server for free, 10 users are allowed for the free account.
