OTP-based Captive portal
The OTP-based captive portal is a captive portal that can enable an Internet service based on OTP (one-time password) SMS.
For this instance, first of all, you need to create OTP profile configurations, which will decide the length of your OTP password and the validity duration of the password.
Step 1.
Create the Ray Account and set up your first AP. Please follow the steps here, First-time setup of Ray
Step 2.
Login to Cloud Controller using your username & password on https://cloud.ray.life/
Step 3. Go to Captive portals menu --> OTP config.
Click on "Create OTP config".
Step 4. SMS Config
After creating an OTP message profile, you need to configure SMS gateway configurations under the "SMS Gateway Config" tab.
Which will decide from which gateway OTP SMS will be generated.
Enter your SMS gateway information in the SMS configuration template as presented in the following snapshot.
The SMS gateway config settings in the Ray platform support HTTP and rest methods of interacting with SMS gateway provider API. as shown in the example below.
The user and password fields are generated from the API of your SMS gateway provider. in this example, SMS Global was the SMS gateway provider.

Step 5. Create an OTP captive portal
Now create an OTP captive portal from Portals --> Create Portal.
Select an "OTP" as an authentication option.
Click " Select"
Step 6. Create portal details
Enter the survey name, select the business category, and select the OTP config profile you have created for OTP format.
Step 7. Welcome message and URL
Enter the Welcome message and the URL you want to redirect once it's authenticated.
Step 8. Captive page preview
You can check the preview of the captive login page.
Step 9 Publishing Wi-Fi
Go to Profiles ->> Wlan
Input the below details.
Profile Name. Give a proper name to the WLAN profile.
Description of the Wlan Profile.
Definition. From the drop-down, select the Captive Portal.
Captive Portal. Select the Captive Portal Template created earlier.
Plans. Select the Group created.
Network Interface. By default, the WLAN is Bridged to the WAN Interface.
Press Submit.
Now you have successfully created the OTP-based Captive Portal.
