Social media captive portal
Social media refers to online platforms and websites that enable users to create and share content, as well as interact with others. These platforms allow people to connect with friends, family, and communities, and share various types of content such as text, images, videos, and links. Users can also engage with each other by commenting on posts, liking or sharing content, and sending private messages.
This type of captive portal enables a user to login with their social media account like Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Step 1.
Create the Ray Account and set up your first AP. Please follow the steps here, First-time setup of Ray
Step 2.
Login to Cloud Controller using your username & password on https://cloud.ray.life/
Step 3.
Select the Captive Portal Menu
Step 4. Create a portal
Go to the Controller. Go to Templates. Click "Create Portal".
Step 5. Select Portal Authentication type
Select the "Social" captive portal
Click on "Select"
Step 6. Portal name, business category
Here you can select the social media options you want on your page.
Enter your APP ID and other details as asked in below given form.
Step 7. Welcome message and URL
Step 8. Captive page preview
Now you have successfully created the social media-based Captive Portal.
Step 9. WLAN profile publishing
Publishing Wi-Fi
Go to Profiles ->> Wlan
Input the below details.
Profile Name. Give a proper name to the WLAN profile.
Description of the Wlan Profile.
Definition. From the drop-down, select the Captive Portal.
Captive Portal. Select the Captive Portal Template created.
Plans. Select the Group created.
Network Interface. By default, the WLAN is Bridged to the WAN Interface.
Press Submit.
