Introduction to Insight (Beta)

The Ray Insight(Beta) feature is for the Application layer data monitoring.

For instance, What sites users are accessing, and what social media applications users are accessing and how much data they have consumed through particular Applications, etc.

Not only sites and Applications, but there are a lot more Insights(Beta) that can do like protocols.

Which users using what protocol within the network, Insight can tell us.

1) Application

The application showcases data graphs for Application usage by the users.

It tells us which application have used more bandwidth and by which user/users.

1.1 Application category

Application category indicates which application categories have been used most widely, like a social media app, Messaging,

Technology, OS/Software updates, Advertiser, Business, VoIP /Conferencing, VPN and Proxy.

2) Protocol:

Protocol showcases data graphs of the protocols with bandwidth usage used by the users.

There is a table for the top consuming protocols where you can find which protocol is used by which user mostly.

3) Geolocation:

Geolocation gathers the location of the website accessed by the users and which can help you to track down if users are accessing the country site which you were not expecting them to surf or access.

4) Hostnames:

 Hostnames tells you which domain has been mostly hitted and accessed and that domain falls in which category website.
