To add an appliance in cluster, there must be:
- Subscription/licenses must be active.
- Find the mac-address and security code of the device and note down for reference.
- Device must be online at time adding appliance.
- MAC address can be found on the bottom side sticker of device as shown in below image.
- Security code is the last 6 digits of the Serial Number. Please refer to Figure below to find the Serial number detail location of your AP. For example, in below image security code in below device is otvUUI.
Note: In case, security code showing wrong, get in touch with support by creating a ticket and also share the error screenshot and device backside photograph with mac and serial number.
Now, follow the below-mentioned steps to complete the device addition in Ray cluster:
Step 1.) Login to the https://cloud.ray.life and go to cluster location where you want to add appliance.
Step 2.) Go to Appliances
Step 3.) Click on + Add Appliance
Step 4.) Click on the +Add button to add appliance. In Add Appliance, we have two options Manual Upload and Bulk Upload.
- Manual Upload: - if we have to add a few devices. Insert the MAC address of the appliance in “:” notations for access points or edge devices while in "-" for switches only and security code (last 6 characters of Serial number); as shown in the below image.
Click on Save and check appliance in appliances.
Bulk Upload: - If we have to add many devices.
Step 5.) Click on Save and check appliance in appliances.
Step 6.) If you get subscription error it could be license/s expired, in such case please contact with your supplier for license/ subscription renewal.
