A blacklist in the context of networking refers to a list of blocked or restricted entities, such as IP addresses or MAC-Address, that are denied access or communication privileges. It is used to enhance network security by preventing unauthorized or malicious activities.


Procedure 1.


Go to Parent Cluster > Child cluster>Profiles>Wlan>action click on three dots >>view/Edit New POP-UP of WLAN will open,



 Go to Whitelist/Blacklist>>Blacklist MAC Address select blacklist out of those options>>provide remarks and save, then follow:


 For adding devices to the blacklist, you may follow the below-mentioned steps:


Step1. Go to Clients.


Step2. Go to Devices and select the SSID. 


Note: Aggregate Child can be also enabled if you wish to search in the present cluster as well as in further child clusters.

 

Step3. Now, Click on Add to Blacklist button.


To Choose the devices to blacklist, we have two options to select. If you have a few devices, you may choose the Manual Upload option, If have multiple devices, then you may choose the Bulk Upload option.


Step4. Click on the + Add Devices button.


Note: if a device is to be blacklisted from all clusters, then select the Applicable in all cluster option.


Step5. Provide the MAC-Address and Name of the device to be blacklisted. then, Click on the Save button.



Step6. To confirm the addition, click on the OK button.





To remove any Backlisted device, you may follow the below-mentioned steps:


Step7. Click on the already blacklisted device, that is to be removed from Blacklist.


Step8. Click on the Save button.



Step9. Click on the OK button, to confirm the action.



Procedure 2.


Go to Parent Cluster > Child cluster, then follow:

Step6. Click on the OK button, to confirm the action.
