In Wi-Fi terminology, TX power refers to the transmit power of a wireless access point or router. This is the amount of power that the device uses to send signals over a wireless network. 


1. If you wish to change the Tx Power of Pre-existing Radio Profile.


Step1. Go to Profiles, in the desired child cluster.

Step2. Click on the Profile, and select the Radio profile whose Tx power is to be changed.

(Note:- If you are configuring for the first time then you have to create a radio profile, The steps are mentioned below.)

Step3. Click on the Action button and a drop-down will open.

Step4. From the drop-down, click on the view/edit option and another pop-up will open the Radio profile.  



Step5. Click on the 2.4GHz, if you want to change the Tx Power for 2.4GHz band.

Click on the 5GHz, if you want to change the Tx Power for 5GHz band.


Step6. Go to Transmission Power and set it as per requirements.

Note- Lower power will provide higher bandwidth.

Step7. Provide the remarks and click on the Save button




2. If you are doing the configurations for the first time. 

click on + Create Radio and create a radio profile.


Step1. Provide the Profile Name and description, and select Hardware Type and Definitions.

Step2. select the country region.

Step3. Click on the tick mark before Enable, to enable the working of 2.4GHz band.

Step4. Go to Transmission Power, by default it will be set to 30; in case you wish to change, make it around 20-22.

Step5. Select channel selection as auto, else every time you will be required to select the channels or there will be packet droppage.


Similarly, you can do for 5GHZ, if that is to be enabled.

Step6. Provide the remark and Click on the Submit button.



This way, Tx Power of Radio profile can be changed.
