To create DNS filtering Policy, below mentioned Processes can be followed:

1. To create DNS filtering policy

2. To map the DNS policy into the security group.

3. To map the security group to the WLAN.


1. To create DNS filtering policy:

Step1. Go to Profiles > Policy > Click on + Create Policy.


Step2.-A new pop-up will open, provide a Profile Name and Description.

          -Select the Definition as- DNS filtering Policy.
          -Select DNS server: 

          -Provide Whitelisted Domains (URL's for which DNS entries are allowed to be resolved)

A). Custom- If you have Personal/Local DNS server. (You need to Provide IP address of the DNS server)

B). Ray DNS- If you want to use Ray's Default DNS server. (You need to select Filtering level, as per the utility)

     Then, click on save button.



2. To map the DNS policy into the security group.

Step1. Go to Profiles > Security Group > click on + Create Security Group.


Step2. -Provide the Profile Name, Description and select the Definition as Group

           -Go to Group Details > Provide a Group name and choose Member type as per requirement.

           -Go to DNS filtering Policy > Click on- Enable DNS filtering Policy > Choose the created DNS filtering Policy.


Step3. Go to Advance > Select the node mode Applicable for > Click on Save.

3. To map the security group to the WLAN.

Step1. Go to Profiles > WLAN > click on + Create WLAN(to create a new WLAN) / Select any pre-existing WLAN( if Security group is to be mapped with already created WLAN).


Step2. -Provide a Profile Name, Description and Definition.

            -Click on Group and select the create security group, that is to be mapped.
