Security groups enable you to specify the protocols, ports, and IP address ranges that are allowed to communicate with your instances. This helps to enhance the security of your network by only allowing authorized traffic to pass through.
We can Assign a security group to the client through two methods. One is to enable default so that the security group is assigned to the client automatically and the other one is through manually.
To enable default setting follow the below steps.
1. Go to Profile >> Security Group
2. Click on the three dots below the action button, and a new window will pop-up then Click on the view/edit.
3. Click on the Group Details and mark the check box of default, you can see the below image as a reference.
4. Fill in the Remarks and click on the save button.
Now the security group is assigned automatically.
To assign a security group manually follow the below steps.
Go to Clients >> Devices
Click on the three dots below the action button and select approve and assign group.
To assign groups to multiple users Goto Assign Group and upload the Mac address of the devices.
