A Syslog server is a centralized system used to collect, analyze, and store log messages generated by network devices, servers, and applications. It plays a crucial role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and auditing network activity by consolidating logs in one location.
- Go to Application Settings under Profiles Tab:
- Log into your Cloud Controller.
- Home Page > Profiles > Appliance Settings
- Select Syslog Server Tab:
- To save the customized settings, give a name to the setting and select Appliance under definitions.
- Select the Syslog Server tab.
- Select "Enable Syslog Server"
- Enter the IP address and port number of the server and the protocol being used by the server (either TCP or UDP)
- Go to the Advance Tab:
- To select for which device the setting is applicable, scroll down to Advance Tab.
- Open the advance tab and under the section "Applicable For" a drop-down menu will appear from which you can select which device this configuration is applicable for.
- To select for which device the setting is applicable, scroll down to Advance Tab.
- Save the Setting:
- Once the device has been configured according to your requirements, save the configuration by clicking save.
