A Syslog server is a centralized system used to collect, analyze, and store log messages generated by network devices, servers, and applications. It plays a crucial role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and auditing network activity by consolidating logs in one location. 


  1. Go to Application Settings under Profiles Tab: 
    • Log into your Cloud Controller.
    • Home Page > Profiles > Appliance Settings 
  2.  Select Syslog Server Tab:
    • To save the customized settings, give a name to the setting and select Appliance under definitions.
    • Select the Syslog Server tab.
    • Select "Enable Syslog Server" 
    • Enter the IP address and port number of the server and the protocol being used by the server (either TCP or UDP) 
  3. Go to the Advance Tab:
    • To select for which device the setting is applicable, scroll down to Advance Tab
    • Open the advance tab and under the section "Applicable For" a drop-down menu will appear from which you can select which device this configuration is applicable for. 
  4. Save the Setting:
    • Once the device has been configured according to your requirements, save the configuration by clicking save.
