Audit logs record system events, tracking user actions, security events, and changes for monitoring, compliance, and troubleshooting. They help detect anomalies, prevent unauthorized access, and support investigations. Proper storage ensures integrity, making it vital for cybersecurity and IT governance.
To Access Audit Logs:
Login to Ray Cloud Controller
Home Page > Audit Logs
There are multiple modules available to assess the different logs, they are:
Profile Management
Approval Based/Captive Portal User Sessions
Appliance Status
Cloud Dashboard Authentication
Appliance Logs
APC Command Log
Alerts
Profile Management:
Go to the Module Tab and from the drop-down menu, select Profile Management
To see specific event types, within filters, go to event type tab and select the event of which you want to see the logs of and click apply.
To see logs on the basis of severity, type the severity in the severity tab and click apply.
Approval Based/Captive Portal User Sessions:
Go to the Module Tab and from the drop-down menu, select Approval Based/Captive Portal User Sessions.
You can filter out the results on the basis of SSID, client username, client IPv4 address, Authentication Type, Time duration, client name, event type, description and severity.
Appliance Status
Go to the Module tab and from the drop-down menu, select Appliance Status
You can check the logs and to find specific results use the filter. The filter is based on the Ap Name, MAC address, Serial No, state, hardware name, Date and Time, event type and severity.
Appliance Logs:
Go to the Module tab and from the drop-down menu, select Appliance Logs
Select the MAC address of the device from the drop-down menu and (optional) select the starting and ending date for which you want the logs.
Alerts:
Go to the Module tab and from the drop-down menu, select Alerts
Select whether you want current data or past data and enter the MAC address of the device.
