What It Does
Airtime Fairness is a radio profile feature that ensures each client device gets an equal share of wireless transmission time, rather than equal amounts of data.
This matters because older or slower devices (using legacy Wi-Fi standards) take longer to send and receive data, consuming more airtime than modern devices. Without Airtime Fairness, these slow clients can negatively impact the performance of the entire network.
Why Airtime (Not Bandwidth) Matters
In Wi-Fi networks, airtime is the most valuable resource. Every device, fast or slow, shares the same channel one at a time. Airtime Fairness prioritizes equal time over equal data, helping faster devices make the most of their capabilities.
Steps 1: Navigate to the Profiles section, select Radio, then click View/Edit.
Steps 2 : Enable Airtime Fairness checkbox and then save your changes.
