Sometimes, devices need to bring back to very initial OS and default configuration which can be due to multiple reasons such as removing a device from one cluster and to add another cluster, device has some cosmetic issues such as user frequent disconnect on specific access point or frequent device reboot, certificate or cloud connectivity. Removing all new modification either in OS or certificates or device configuration is called factory reset.

Ray Access points can be easily factory reset by following steps:

  1. Power on the access point
  2. Connect with device default SSID (WiFi-MAC_Address)
  3. Browse device using default URL address: http://192.168.33.33 or http://"interface IP of ray device" and username - root; password - "device MAC_Address without column"
  4. Goto Reset and proceed with confirm action.
  5. Device will reset to factory default once reboot.
  6. If above steps for device reset do not work, kindly press and hold Reset button for 15 seconds; device will reboot with factory settings and OS.

Note: Sometimes it is observed that Reset button on GUI don't not work in chrome browser, so please try in another browser such as internet explorer, Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox.
