Once logged in, navigate to the Captive Portal , Types of Captive Portal section from the main dashboard or menu.  

 

Step 1: Create a New Captive Portal 

  • In the Captive Portal page, click on the +Create Portal button to create a new portal. 
     

Step 2: Configure Pre-Authentication Settings 

  • On the Pre-Authentication tab, click on Skip to bypass any additional pre-authentication configurations. 


 
Step 3: Select the Authentication Template 

  • Under the Authentication section, select the OTP Via Email template from the available options. 

            Users can connect to the network when they add the OTP, which is sent to their email. 

 

 Step 4: Assign a Name to the Portal 

  • Assign an appropriate name for the Captive Portal. This name will help you identify the portal for future management or updates. 
  1. Example: "FreeWiFiPortal" 

Step 5: Select the Business Category 

  • From the Business Category dropdown, select the category that best represents your network. This could be something like a Café, Restaurant, Bar, Mall etc. (If you want to select other Category Select "Default" from dropdown). 


  •  Go to The Assets Management (Optional) page to customize the Welcome Message. 

    • Add Welcome massage as per your requirement.

    Example: "Welcome to Free Wi-Fi!" 

    • Add Email Domain if you needed.
    • Add URL which you want to redirect After successfully connected with internet.

    Click on Save. 

    • If you want to Add Terms and Condition, Add as shown in figure. 

    In the Assets Management page, you can also Upload a logo and Image to personalize your portal’s page. 

    • Click the Upload Logo option and select your logo file (ensure it meets the required file format and size). 
    • Click to Select Background Image as per your requirement.

    If you want to see how the captive portal looks, click on the Preview button.


Step 6: Apply the Changes 

  • After assigning the name and selecting the business category, review the settings and click Save to create the Captive Portal. 

Step 7: Create a Single User 

  • Click on +Create Users to create a new user. 
  • In the Create User section, you will see fields to input the user details: 
  1. Username: Enter the desired username for the new user. 

  1. Email Address: Enter the Email Address where the OTP will be sent for authentication. 

  • Password Generation: 
  1. Generate Password Automatically: Swipe right on the "Generate Password" option if you want the system to randomly generate a password for the user. 

  1. Manually Set Password: If you want to manually set a password for the user, leave the "Generate Password" option off, and enter the desired password in the corresponding field. 

  • Click Save once you’ve entered the details. 


Step 8: Generate Random Users 

If you need to create multiple users randomly, follow these steps: 

  • Click on Generate Random Users. 
  • User Settings: 
  1. Prefix: Enter a prefix (such as a letter or number) that will start the usernames (e.g., "user" or "admin"). 

  1. Number of Users: Enter the number of users you want to generate, such as 10, 100, or more. 

  • Click on Generate to create random users. 

Step 9: Bulk User Creation  

If you need to create users in bulk from a file (e.g., a CSV), follow these steps: 

  • Choose Your File: Click on the Choose Your File button to select the file from your local documents. 
  • File Upload: Select the file (typically in CSV format) containing the user details such as username and email address. 
  1. After uploading the file, the users will be created based on the details in the file. 


Step 10: User Approval (Optional) 

If you want to approve users manually before they are granted access, follow these steps: 

  • Swipe right on "Is Approval Required" to enable manual approval for each user. 
  • When enabled, users will be created but will not have immediate access. You'll need to approve their account before they can authenticate via OTP. 
  • Add Email Id from which you can Approve user's Email Id.
