1. Check jobs
First, check whether all jobs are finished or not. When we do configurations like creating a captive portal or adding Mac addresses in the blacklist/whitelist, jobs do not finish sometimes so the configuration is not mapped properly.
To check jobs go to Cluster > jobs, here you can use the filter to make it easy or fast. see the below image as a reference.
To learn more about the jobs follow the the document share in the below link.

2. Check Audit logs
For troubleshooting it is important to check the logs for further investigation. For example, if the user's session is expired, the Mac is valid or not for joining a session.
Go to Cluster > Audit logs > select module as Approval Based/CaptivePortal User Sessions see the below image as a reference.
3. Check user assigned group.
Check user has been assigned a security group or not if a security group is called in the WLAN.
To check go to Cluster > Clients > Device. see the below image as a reference.
4. Check security group setting is default or not.
Check security group settings are default as per company requirements.
To check go to Profiles > Security group > Default.
5. Check user session is active or not.
Check the user's session when a user is online or offline and whether the user is active or not.
To check go to Clients > Devices > User session
6. Check auto-login option is enabled or not.
To check the auto-login option go to Profile > WLAN > View/edit
7. Validate captive portal is working

- In the search box on the taskbar, type Command prompt, press, and hold (or right-click) Command prompt, and then select Run as administrator > Yes.
- At the command prompt, type netsh wlan show wlanreport.
- This will generate a wireless network report that’s saved as an HTML file and collected from the shown location in output as in the below photo.
