TABLE OF CONTENTS
Hello Everyone,
In this Article we are going to discuss the Ray App store and the benefits and values it offers.
We will also briefly discuss which users in the Ray controller have access to the Ray App store and what actions can be taken from the Ray App store.
And finally we will show you how to troubleshoot issues related to accessing the Ray App store.
A Brief description of the Ray App store
The App store is the biggest draw to the new age ecosystem. The applications give a possibility to infuse new functionality into the hardware increasing the lifetime value and reducing the TCO.
The base of any open ecosystem is its APIs. The right APIs open the system to integrate, and exchange the data seamlessly and securely. Most systems lack the API ecosystem or are installed in-premise which makes it difficult to integrate without compromising security and ease.
Ray has designed the architecture to emulate a flexible and open operating system rather than a firmware controlling a hardware.
Ray provides an SDK to developers to integrate into the access point and the cloud. Developers need not to handle the intricacies of Wi-Fi and networking but focus on delivering the targeted functionality.
Ray also provides open and rich set of APIs and web-hooks to feed third-party systems. The easy to use and standard RESTful API makes integration a breeze.
Ray designed the UX to enhance the application discovery and customer experience for the customers. The customers can enable a time limited trial of applications in the Ray app store ensuring they can try the features before they purchase the applications. The applications have an open review system to provide feedback to the developers and to help customers make the right choice.
